Heritage Christian School
Our curriculum is secured from A Beka Books, a nationwide
leader in the development and publishing of high quality Christian textbooks
for twenty five years. A Beka Books integrates Biblical truths in every
subject. In science, students will learn the truth about the creation of the
universe. God’s orderly structure will be evident in the study of
mathematics as well. We will hold forth the ideals of freedom and patriotism
in the social sciences.

Classes
Heritage Christian School
teaches reading in kindergarten. Students begin with letters and sounds and
progress to reading words, sentences, and stories in their own reading
books. Besides reading, your child will learn simple arithmetic and good
writing skills that will give him a head start in elementary grades.
Kindergarten graduation, complete with caps and gowns, will be a time that
you and your child will cherish for years to come.
Kindergarten
Heritage Christian School
believes and practices the basic principles of education that have made
America great.
Early independence in reading is achieved by emphasizing word analysis and
comprehension skills. By the end of first grade, all students can read with
comprehension and write with understanding. A strong Phonics approach to
reading prepares students to be good readers all through life.
A traditional math approach utilizing classroom drills and memorization
prepares students for high school. Through daily drills and repetition,
students master arithmetic concepts. Emphasizing the basic fundamentals of
education, we strive for excellence.
High School
Elementary
Heritage Christian School’s
high school curriculum includes standard high school subjects as well as
college preparatory courses. In addition to core academic courses, electives
in computer and foreign language are offered. Every student at HCS receives
training in Bible as part of his required curriculum. We realize that a
knowledge of the Bible is one of the greatest educational assets any
individual can have.
Further opportunities in athletics and music allow students to develop their
God-given skills and talents in those areas.
