Heritage Christian School
Participation in extracurricular activities is a privilege
and carries with it certain responsibilities. The student is a
representative of Heritage Christian School and his attitudes and actions
should glorify the Lord at all times.

Activities
Junior high and senior high students may participate in the chorus at
Heritage Christian School at no extra cost. Students are taught proper
breathing techniques, enunciation, and harmonic singing. They are exposed to
classics in sacred music literature as well as spirituals and gospel music
favorites. Performing for school programs and state fine arts competition
are highlights of the school year. In order for a child to have a
well-rounded education, he needs to be educated musically. All of our
classes have a daily music time included with the Bible lesson. Elementary
classes set aside one period each week to focus on new songs, fun songs, and
songs that are part of our American heritage such as “She’ll Be Coming
‘Round the Mountain.”
Junior high and senior high school students may participate
in the athletics program. Students have the opportunity to compete against
other area school teams in the Central Piedmont Christian Athletic
Association (CPCAA). Boys can participate in Junior Varsity basketball and
Varsity basketball. Girls can participate in Varsity basketball
and volleyball. Students learn the importance of teamwork and dedication.
They develop the skills necessary to compete in physically, mentally, and
emotionally demanding situations.
